Ways to Make Money at Home

There are several ways to make money at home that people choose to use but, not all of them are created equal.
I am going to go over a few of the pros and cons of each to try to keep you from starting down the wrong path. After all the key to making money may be working hard, but it wont help if you are not doing the right work.

1. Taking Online Surveys- When people think of ways to make money at home this is always one of the first ideas to pop into your head. Everyone has heard of someone or has a friend who found ways to make money at home by taking online surveys. Well they are telling the truth but, they are not mentioning the amount of time it takes.

To get started you have to find a quality site to sign up with and each survey you take will take between 15 and 30 minutes. Very few will earn you more than 50 cents but for this example lets assume you finish 1 survey and get paid 50 cents every 15 minutes. That would mean you earn 2 dollars an hour. I mean geez at those wages you could do better working at McDonalds. Yes you can find ways to make money at home with taking surveys but due to the time it takes for such meager wages I do not recommend it.

2. Starting your Own Business- This is 1 of the great ways to make money at home. You get to do what you love and get paid so it is the best of both worlds. Of course to do this you have to have a business to start. Not only will you need an idea but you also need the start up costs and fees. Most small businesses will fail in the first 2 years. Now if you have a brilliant idea then go ahead and run with it. However, if your just starting out then I do not recommend starting your own business as one of the ways to make money at home.

3. Affiliate Marketing- This is one of the best ways to make money at home. In fact it is easy to start because all you have to do is buy a training program and you can get started from home tonight. It is very simple and can be done in your spare time and some people even make a full time living from it. The downside is that it will not make you rich overnight. It is not a way to become a millionaire in a week. Also, it will not work if your lazy. People expect that they will get something from it by just signing up. However, if you do not mind putting a little bit of work in in the evenings then affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money at home.


After looking at all these methods I would suggest starting your own business is possible. However, if you do not have at least $100,000 to invest and get started then I would recommend affiliate marketing as the best of the ways to make money from home. It is safe and requires an investment of less that $100. As long as you are willing to put in the time and effort then you too can get started.
